Curious about the stories behind the energy headlines? This blog dives into the technical side of energy issues, breaks down how the electric grid works, and explores solutions tailored to remote and northern communities. Join us as we uncover the stories powering the North and shed light on the North’s energy future.

Northern Energy Innovation acknowledges that we live and work in the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council. NEI recognizes that we have the honour to learn, teach and operate on the Traditional Territories of the 14 Yukon First Nations. We recognize and honour the diverse languages, cultures, worldviews, and traditions of all Yukon First Nations by proudly walking alongside them on their paths to self-determination. Together, we share this land, and strive to strengthen our collaboration with Yukon First Nations to meet their goals in education and research, while working to heal the devastating effects of colonization through making space for Yukon First Nations ways of knowing, doing and being in all that we do.
